John H. Williams
John H. Williams, age 73, long time area auctioneer of Rice Lake, WI died Tuesday, September 15 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire after a battle with cancer. He was born October 7, 1935 to Cecil & Margaret (Elmlinger) Williams at Cameron. He graduated from Rice Lake High School in 1954 and was an auctioneer in the Rice Lake area for 40 years. John loved his work, his fishing trips to the cabin in Canada and deer hunting in the Minong area. He also loved spending time with his friends & family and always looked forward to seeing his grandchildren.

John was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his special friend: Carol VanGilder of Rice Lake, son: Sam Williams of Swanton, OH, daughters: Deb (Joe) Williams of South Dakota, Kathy (Bob) Wojciechowski of Newport News, VA, Linda (Todd) Morse of Swanton, OH & Pam (Potsie) Weber of Markesan, WI, 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, sisters: Maxine Voelker of Eau Claire, Jackie (Pinch) Krakau of Janesville, Sharon Wescott of Rice Lake & Betty (Jack) Kodesh of Rice Lake, as well many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends.

A Memorial Service will be (was) held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 21 at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. Donald Berry officiating and interment in Wayside Cemetery in Barron with Military Honors accorded by Eubanks-Arneson American Legion Post #87 of Rice Lake. Visitation will be (was) held for the hour prior to services at the funeral home on Monday. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas.
