Mildred T. Christianson
Mildred T. “Millie” Christianson, age 78, of Dallas, WI died Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at Luther Midelfort Northland Hospital in Barron. She was born October 11, 1932 to Arthur & Theresa (Hanson) Johnson in the Town of Prairie Lake, Barron County, WI. On October 16, 1948, she was married to Johnnie O. Christianson, Sr. Mildred loved to cook for family & friends and enjoyed making cakes for birthdays and weddings. She also loved flowers, sewing & crafts. She was a farmer’s wife and loved all of the work that went along with that title. She worked at Lake Magnor Store in Clayton for a time and lived on the home farm after retiring until moving to Chetek. She has been a resident in Dallas Care & Rehabilitation since 2007.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Johnnie of 59 ˝ years on April 12, 2008, sister: Arlene Skjerly & step-father: Arvid Lundholm. She is survived by her sons: Ronnie Christianson (Nancy Davis) of Dallas & Johnnie Jr. (Heidi) Christianson of Chetek, daughter: Jane (Duane) Wintrone of Dallas, grandchildren: Joe Wintrone of Dallas, Kristina Wintrone of Dallas, Sheila (Bob) Rogers of Ridgeland, Miranda Christianson of Ladysmith, Chad Christianson (Candise Smith) of Almena, Tyler (Cassandra) Christianson of Chetek, Hannah Christianson of Chetek, David (Terri) Christianson of Billings, MT & Steven (Amanda) Christianson of Billings, MT, 9 great grandchildren, brother: Robert (Delores) Johnson of South Daytona, FL, sisters: Dona Neby of Comstock, Carolyn (Leonard) Cizek of Chetek, Leona Puppe of Newbury Park, CA, Judy (Duane) Hanson of Chetek & Betty (Eric) Rockow of Chetek, sisters-in-law: Hazel Christianson of Chetek & Inez Polaski of Bella Vista, AR, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Funeral services will be (were) held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, May 16 from Dallas Lutheran Church with Rev. Bob Friese officiating and interment in New Scandinavia Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Maple Grove, rural Dallas. Visitation will be (was) held from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Dallas and also for the hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
