Jasen P. Hinzman
Jasen P. Hinzman (“TigLuk”-Native Inuit name), age 28, of Ridgeland, WI died Sunday, July 3, 2011 at his home. He was born November 7, 1982 at New Richmond, WI to Kirk Oviok, Jr. & Holly Hinzman. He attended grade school at New Richmond and high school at Prairie Farm and obtained his GED in 2006 along with UWEC. He worked for Tjader-Highstrom as a Fiber Optic Technician. Jasen enjoyed many activities including hunting, fishing, movies, snowmobiling, hockey, football, drawing & hanging out with his friends and family. Jasen had an amazing relationship with the Lord. He was a relationship building kind. He loved everyone he met and loved to meet new people. Any where he went he would make new friends and people would gravitate to him and his charming personality. He also had a taste for danger and his jobs and extracurricular activities proved that. Climbing cell phone towers, jumping snowmobiles higher than rooftops or water skipping them across a river, he loved every minute of it. It scared his family members but he was very good at it and everyone would watch in amazement of his talents. Jasen will be greatly missed by his friends and family.

Jasen was preceded in death by his mother: Holly Jean Christenson, maternal grandfather: Clarence Hinzman & paternal grandfather: Kirk “TigLuk” Oviok Sr. He is survived by his father: Kirk Oviok, Jr., step-father: George Christenson of Ridgeland, half brother & sister: Derek & Tracy Oviok, step-brothers & sisters: Greg Swant, Breanne (Brennan) Kuhrt & Dawn Christenson, maternal grandmother: Bonnie (Dale) Soderberg, paternal grandmother: Rosemary Oviok, aunts & uncles: Kristi (Ted) Frankson & Trudy (Jim) Huber, cousins: Shea (Lori) Troyer, Leah Frankson, Heidi (Jason) Vogt, Dana (Aqquillk) Hank, Amy (Dan) Lemire, Jesse (Krystle) Frankson, Jacob Huber & Karl & Solomon Frankson, as well as many second cousins, other relatives & friends.

Funeral services will be (were) held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8 at United Lutheran Church in Prairie Farm with Rev. Shelly Schultz officiating and interment in Akers Cemetery in the Town of Prairie Farm. Visitation will be (was) held for the hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
