Shirley L. Meyer, age 79, of Ridgeland, WI died Saturday, July 30, 2011 at Pioneer Nursing Home in Prairie Farm. She was born October 11, 1931 to Franklin & Luella (Rogers) Miller in the Town of Prairie Farm where she was raised and attended school. On July 8, 1949, she was married to Clarence Meyer in the Town of Prairie Farm and the couple farmed in the Town of Sheridan, Dunn County, until retiring. Shirley enjoyed quilting, playing bingo & cards, camping & fishing. She was also an Avon Representative for many years.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents & husband: Clarence on September 24, 1995. She is survived by her sons: David (Bonnie) Meyer of Dallas, Marvin (Vickie) Meyer of Dallas & Greg Meyer of Eau Claire, daughters: Candace Eggleston of Cottage Grove, MN, Kim (Kirby) Clemetson of Ridgeland & Laurie Meyer of Ridgeland, 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, brothers: Roger (Carol) Miller of Prairie Farm & Charles (Nancy) Miller of Brooklyn Park, MN, sisters: June Keller of Barron, Adeline Cezak of Chetek, Carol (Kenneth) Quinn of Surprise, AZ & Sharon (Roger) Dorff of Remer, MN, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Funeral services will be (were) held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 4 at Ridgeland Lutheran Church with Rev. David Sands officiating and interment in Vanceburg Cemetery in the Town of Sheridan, Dunn County. Visitation will be (was) held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Dallas and also for the hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
