Louana J. Goodrich, age 97, of Cameron, WI died Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Monroe Manor in Barron. She was born September 1, 1914 to John & Katherine (Miller) Kurschner at Prairie Farm where she was raised and attended school. She graduated from High School in 1931 and on April 24, 1933, she was married to George Goodrich at Barron. Louana worked as a telephone operator in Canton for some time and several years later she worked as an inspector in a Chetek factory and after that she worked summers at the Red Lodge Resort. After retiring, she and George enjoyed traveling together. In 1980, they sold their farm and moved into Cameron. Louana has lived in Monroe Manor since 2010.
Louana was preceded in death by her parents, husband: George on April 28, 2006, 2 infant daughters & 8 siblings. She is survived by her daughters: Shelby (Robert) Anderson of Madison & Janet (David) Thompson of Cameron, 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Funeral services will be (were) held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29 at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Cameron and interment in Sumner Cemetery in the Town of Sumner, Barron County. Visitation will be (was) held from 12-3 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas.
