Ann V. Lentz, age 94, of Dallas, WI died Monday, March 12, 2012 at Dallas Care & Rehabilitation. She was born March 10, 1918 to John & Frieda (Iff) Mueller in the Town of Sheridan, Dunn County, WI where she was reared and attended school. On August 16, 1941, she was married to Woodrow Lentz in the Town of Prairie Farm and they farmed in the Town of Dallas from 1941 until retiring in 1981. Ann enjoyed her farm life very much and still helped her son with milking even into her 80’s. She milked cows from about 1935 thru 2005. Ann also helped with the local 4-H Club for many years and was a member of St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church where she was active with the Ladies Aid. She played a mean game of Skippo and no one ever left her house hungry.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Woodrow on December 17, 1995, brothers: Fred, Warner & John Mueller & sisters: Hedwig Keller, Helen Buchholz, Elsie TenEyck & Esther Flanagan. She is survived by her sons: Larry (Judith) Lentz of Ridgeland, Bob (Leondra) Lentz of Dallas, Don (Kay) Lentz of Menomonie & Rich (Sue) Lentz of Dallas, grandchildren: Susan (Kory) Turgeson, Chris (Erika), John & Ryan (Erica) Lentz, Dr. Nancy Lentz, David (Korie), Levi (Kari) & Travis (Jolene) Lentz, Lecia (Matthew) Parker & Darren Lentz (Melanie Mertes), 17 great grandchildren, sister: Lillie Miller of Ridgeland, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Funeral services will be (were) held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 16 at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town of Prairie Farm with Rev. John Toppe officiating and interment in St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Dallas. Visitation will be (was) held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Dallas & also for the hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
