R. James Keener, age 85, of Dallas, WI died Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Dallas Care & Rehabilitation. He was born May 20, 1923 to Ralph & Ora (Rose) Keener at Baker, Montana. At the age of 8, he & his family moved to Wisconsin and Jim later graduated from Colfax High School. He farmed in the Ridgeland area for many years, and also was a salesman for Hubbard Feeds of Amery for several years. He also spent some time as a Federal Crop Agent. Jim held a strong love for Montana throughout his life.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents & a special friend: Sylvia Olson. He is survived by his sister: Blanche Outhouse of Oregon, WI, special friends: Sherman Paulson of Rice Lake & Kathleen Sevals of Cameron, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Funeral services will be (were) held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10 at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Dallas with Rev. Bruce Beyer officiating and interment in the Dallas Cemetery in the Town of Dallas, WI. Visitation will be (was) held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
