Ardella Morneau Obituary

Ardella A. Morneau, age 82, of Rice Lake and formerly of Dallas, WI passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Brentwood Memory Care in Rice Lake, with family surrounding her. Ardella was born Feb. 5, 1936 to Otto & Anna (Saugstad) Amundson of Prairie Farm, WI where she was raised with her 4 siblings.

On June 6, 1959, she married her best friend, Edward Morneau in Barron, WI. The couple moved to Minneapolis for a short time before returning to Dallas where they raised their 4 children. After raising their children, Ardella spent several years as the dedicated secretary of their family milk hauling business. Ardella, or better known to her grandchildren as “Grandma Arla”, loved preparing family meals, being with family, holding grandchildren and great-grandchildren, tending to her flower gardens, traveling and filling bellies with cookies and homemade buns. Ardella will be forever remembered by her family and friends for her loving heart. Ardella and Edward have been long-time members of Dallas Lutheran Church.

Ardella is survived by her husband: Edward of Rice Lake, daughter: Mary Hammann of Barron, sons: Steve Morneau (Lynn) of Dallas & John Morneau of Dallas, grandchildren: Scot (Becky) Hammann, Jackie (Joel) Loofboro, Erin (Ryan) Graf, Jean Morneau, Jena (Tyler) Florczak, Brett, Jack & Luke Morneau, great grandchildren: Brooke, Summer, Brody & Shyanne Hammann, Brayden, Kaylee & Zachary Graf & Beau Loofboro, brother: Gerald (Josie) Amundson of Prairie Farm, sister: Delores Curtis of Grantsburg, WI, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, son: Dave Morneau, son-in-law: Brad Hammann & brothers: Vern & Ossie Amundson.

Funeral Services

Funeral Services will be held at Dallas Lutheran Church with Rev. Heather Kistner officiating. A visitation will be held the hour prior to services at the church. Interment will take place at a later date in the Dallas Cemetery. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
