Beverly Ebner Obituary

Bev Ebner, age 85, of Cameron, WI passed away on Sunday, April 28th, 2019 at Barron Care and Rehabilitation with her family at her side. Beverly Joan (Hammer) Ebner was born March 11th, 1934 in Minneapolis, MN to Alfred and Helen (Oquist) Hammer and grew up in the Columbia Heights area. In 1954 she met James Ebner at an Ebner reunion, where Jim happened to be giving rides in his airplane. It must have been some flight, as they were married on August 25th, 1956 and together they had 8 children. Bev and Jim raised their children in Cameron, WI. As the children grew older, Bev became active in the Scouting program. She was a Den Mother for many years. The scouts would work on various craft projects and Bev would help each scout earn their scouting badges as they learned and moved up the ranks. Bev became more active at the District level as she too progressed within the Scouting program. She earned the distinctions of being the recipient of the District Award of Merit, Silver Beaver Award, and the Wood Badge Ticket. As the nest emptied, Bev enjoyed traveling with Jim, spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spending the winters in Texas. When at home, Bev enjoyed spending time with her friends from church and others within the community, often times with a cup of hot coffee in hand.
