Carol M. (Kurschner) Glaser passed away on Thursday, November 2nd, 2017 at the age of 75 at Dallas Care and Rehabilitation in Dallas, WI. She was the wife of Russell Glaser. They shared 41 years of marriage together. Carol was born May 25th, 1942 in rural Prairie Farm to Leslie & Esther (Kallenbach) Kurschner. She was eldest of 7 children; Kenneth, Ruby, Doug, Richard, Ray and Kay. She attended school in Weyerhaeuser, Cumberland, Cameron, Almena, Barron and Rice Lake. Carol spent most of her days as a home maker, raising her children and taking care of grandchildren. She did work for Jerome Foods in her younger days at the hatchery and also on a turkey farm with Russell in Sand Creek. Carol loved to spend time with her family, especially during the holidays. Christmas was always celebrated on Christmas Eve. She always made lasagna and if you were lucky manicotti. Family get together's always consisted of too much food and always a good game of cards. Carol enjoyed quilting and sewing crafts, many of these items can be found throughout family members’ homes. In her later years she took up knitting and made hundreds of dish cloths. Her family will always treasure the days of “black box hunting”, she had every road and trail memorized for several counties. Carol never found the box but that was not the point, she loved the adventure of solving clues and getting out with family, even if they got a little lost once in a while. Carol loved country music, especially George Jones. She did get the chance to see George in concert and she cherished that memory. Carol will be remembered for her quick wit and comebacks, even when the dementia set in she was still quick with replies. She loved her grandchildren dearly and also her great grandbabies, she always said she was a “Great” grandma and emphasized the “Great”. Carol’s other pass times included fishing, going to the casino and in her later days; going for rides all over northern Wisconsin.
