Darlene A. Solie, age 81, of Chetek, WI died Wednesday, July 7th, 2021 at her home. She was born September 7th, 1939 to Bennie & Agnes (Briggs) Wintrone at Rice Lake. On September 21st, 1956, she was married to Donald Solie at Dallas, WI. Throughout the years, Darlene helped her husband farm and together they operated their storage business. She enjoyed camping, snowmobiling & dancing.
Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Kathy Solie & brothers: Loyde, Wilburt & Duane Wintrone. She is survived by her husband: Don, sons: Darrell (Sharon) & Marvin (Fay) Solie, daughter: Lori (Edward) Turauwski, numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren, sister: Wanda (Rod) Provin, sisters-in-law: Jeanette, Joyce & Jane Wintrone & Marlene Solie, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 16th at New Scandinavia Lutheran Church in the Town of Maple Grove, rural Dallas with Rev. D. Peter Friberg officiating. Visitation will be held for the hour prior to the service at the church. A Celebration of Life will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Lynda’s Lakeshore Resort on County Road M north of Chetek. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas.
