David Warren “Meat” Wilcox left us suddenly on Wednesday October 17th, 2018 at his home. David was born on November 22nd, 1967 to Douglas and Darlene (Wiseman) Wilcox in Menomonie, Wisconsin. He was a graduate of Prairie Farm High School and went on to get a degree from Chippewa Valley Technical College in their HVAC program. He had a passion for things loud and fast, including his beloved soft tail Harley Davidson that he would keep protected from Wisconsin weather by storing it inside of his home (instead of his three car garage). As soon as snow began to fall, he would retire the Harley and pull the cover off his Arctic Cat Wildcat 700. The music that made up the soundtrack of Dave’s life was just as loud and fast, including AC/DC and Lynyrd Skynyrd. David met Sheila Fallon in 1992 and together they raised three wonderful boys; Jay, Jared and Justin. He transitioned effortlessly from being a single guy with a Harley in the family room, to a father, husband and eventually a grandfather. He took extreme pride in all of these roles. David worked for Countryside Plumbing and Heating for nearly 20 years serving as the Senior Commercial HVAC Estimator & Designer. This was a career that he was passionate about, alongside people who instantly became his second family. Clients quickly became life-long friends and customers, in thanks to his work ethic, sincerity, and obsessive attention to detail. His leisure time activity of choice would be at home in a recliner while wielding his television remote in hand flipping between Deadliest Catch, The Voice or anything playing on his beloved History channel ( an enthusiasm he passed to his grandson Emmitt). David valued his friends and family and the door was always open, although the majority of the conversations were held on the front porch.
