Deryl Alwin Obituary

Deryl Allen Alwin, age 89, of Ridgeland, WI passed away peacefully on November 15th, 2023 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Red Cedar Hospital in Menomonie, WI.  He was born on December 15, 1933 to Allen and Ruth (Heisley) Alwin in Eureka, WI.  Deryl graduated from Baldwin high school in 1951.  He married the love of his life Lorraine (Bol) on October 23, 1953 and they recently celebrated their 70th Anniversary. They made everyone welcome when they came to their home.  Deryl had a few odd jobs in their early years of marriage such as working on the railroad, Anderson Windows, Construction in the cities. But He had a passion to start an Independent Contractor Business (Alwin Construction) in which he became a skilled mason, built homes, fireplaces, swimming pools, and Cuckler buildings. He grew in the business and always tried to customize the project to bring a “specialty” to whatever job he did.  Deryl had many interests such as gardening, fishing, deer hunting, boating, snowmobiling, cooking maple syrup, family get together’s, and reading.  He was a fun-loving, strong, humble man who was full of compassion and life. We know Deryl is now in heaven dancing with the King of King’s but he will be so missed.
