Don Klennert, age 80, of Ridgeland, WI died Sunday, April 7th, 2019 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. He was born November 13th, 1938 to Albert & Viola (Zell) Klennert at Lake City, MN & grew up in Blackberry, MN. He enlisted in the U.S. Army & was stationed in Germany. On July 22nd, 1967 he was married to Lucy McClelland at Bethel Lutheran Church in Warba, MN. They moved to Wisconsin & lived in the Stetsonville area & later to the Hillsdale area where they farmed for many years & then to Ridgeland. Don enjoyed woodworking, camping, old tractors & spending time with family & friends.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Lucy on December 19th, 2016, sisters: Mary, Dee & Jenny, brother: Richard & brother & sister-in-law: Bruce & Darlene Greniger. He is survived by his children: Donna (Edward) Michaelson of Grantsburg, Wally Klennert of Ridgeland & Karen Klennert of Chippewa Falls, grandchildren: Jessica (Kristopher) Harkins of Appleton & Ashe, Kasey & Daniel Michaelson, all of Grantsburg, “adopted daughter”: Trina Good of Ridgeland, brother-in-law: Kelly McClelland of Eveleth, MN, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
A Celebration of Don’s Life will be held from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, April 13th at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Cameron. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron, WI.
