Donald Ray Scoggin

Donald R. Scoggin, age 79, of Ridgeland, WI died Wednesday, October 25th, 2023 at the V.A. Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN.  He was born March 1st, 1944 to Golden & Pauline (Esmeyer) Scoggin at Bradford, AR.  He graduated from Bradford High School in 1962.  Prior to his graduation he enlisted in the US Marine Corps, as Inactive Reserve until his graduation.  He then served in the Marines until his discharge in 1965.  On April 19th, 1983 he was married to Marlyn (Haime) at Rockford, IL.  Don had many interests including gardening, farming, fishing & loved going to his military reunions.  He was a member of the Willard Hinzman American Legion Post 511 of Ridgeland & the Barron VFW Post 8338.

Don was preceded in death by his parents & brothers: Lester “Bud” & Odell Scoggin.  He is survived by his wife: Marlyn of Ridgeland, son: Steve (Carrie) Wilquet of Carpentersville, IL, daughter: Jennifer (Dale) Waterhouse of Redding, CA, grandchildren: Andrew, Chloe, Elise, Josh, Katie & Bryan, great grandson: Lincoln, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 31st at Northern WI Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery at Spooner with Rev. Ralph Marquardt officiating.  Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Sunday, October 29th at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Dallas.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fisher House in Minneapolis, fisherhouse.org.  Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
