Donald Norman Solie

Donald N. Solie, age 88, of rural Chetek, WI died Wednesday, March 12th, 2025 at his home.  He was born April 19th, 1936 to Martin & Gena (Peterson) Solie at Rice Lake and was raised and attended school in the Chetek area.  On September 21st, 1956, he was married to Darlene Wintrone at Dallas, WI.  Throughout the years, Don held many different jobs.  Along with farming, he hauled milk, sold seed corn, sold tires and along with Darlene, the couple operated their mini-storage business. 

Don was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Darlene on July 7th, 2021 & daughter: Kathy Solie.  He is survived by his sons: Darrell (Sharon) & Marvin (Fay) Solie, daughter: Lori (Edward) Turauwski, special friend: Donna Cook, numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter, sister: Marlene Solie, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22nd at New Scandinavia Lutheran Church in the Town of Maple Grove, rural Dallas, with Rev. Sara Feld officiating.  Visitation will be held for the hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.  Interment will take place at a later date in the church cemetery.  Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas.
