Doris M. Kahl

Doris M. Kahl, age 93, of Prairie Farm, WI passed away Friday, April 26th, 2019 at Pioneer Health & Rehabilitation in Prairie Farm. She was born September 20th, 1925 to Oliver & Minnie (Michel) Karlstad at Prairie Farm where she was raised and attended school. She was baptized November 2nd, 1925 & confirmed on June 30th, 1940. On February 23rd, 1944, Doris was married to Theodore G. Kahl at the church parsonage in Prairie Farm. They spent most of their life in Prairie Farm & raised two children, Larry & Carol. Doris worked at the Clayton Cheese Factory for 22 years, retiring in 1988. She spent many long hard hours sewing blankets for her family. She cherished giving her homemade quilts to her children, grandchildren & great grandchildren. She looked forward to every opportunity spent with family making memories of a lifetime. Doris was an active member of United Lutheran Church in Prairie Farm & especially enjoyed quilting day at church.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Theodore, son: Larry Kahl, daughter: Carol Kahl & grandsons: Rodney & Tory Kahl. She is survived by her daughter-in-law: Susan Kahl of Prairie Farm, grandchildren: Todd Kahl of Maple, Robby Kahl of Menomonie & Shara Kahl (Clay) of Boyceville, 10 great grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, brother: Earl Karlstad of Neenah, as well as many other relatives & friends.

Funeral Services

A visitation will be (was) held from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, April 29th at United Lutheran Church in Prairie Farm. A private interment will take place at a later date in the Sunset Cemetery in the Town of Prairie Farm. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
