Eldon H. Luer

Eldon H. Luer, age 98, of Ridgeland, WI died Monday, April 2nd, 2018 at The Neighbors of Dunn County in Menomonie, WI. He was born October 8th, 1919 to Arthur & Alice (Lentz) Luer at Ridgeland where he was raised and attended school. He graduated from Barron High School & later served in the U.S. Army during WWII. On May 20th, 1944, he was married to Genevieve Leverenz at West Bend, WI. Eldon started his first career where he was involved with the installation of relay systems for Western Electric/Bell Telephone in Illinois & Wisconsin. In 1950, he started his business in Ridgeland where he became a well-respected small businessman until his retirement in the mid 1990’s. Over the years he was active in many various community & civic events. He was also a member of the Willard Hinzman American Legion Post 511 of Ridgeland & the Moose Lodge in Rice Lake.

Eldon was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Genevieve on April 9th, 2006 & brothers: Keith, Vernon, Alfred & Murray Luer. He is survived by his sons: Keith Luer of Eau Claire & Bruce Luer of Evergreen, CO, as well as many other relatives & friends.

In honor of Eldon’s wishes, no services are being planned. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
