Elroy John Ludvik, age 82, of Ladysmith, WI passed away peacefully at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire on Thursday, October 2, 2025. Elroy was born in Ladysmith on January 25, 1943 to Bohuslav and Gertrude (Wilz) Ludvik. He married the love of his life Judith Poquette on December 2, 1967. He worked at Hein Implement until its closing. He then transitioned to working in the logging industry until his retirement. After retirement he enjoyed traveling, hunting, fishing and playing cards. He looked forward to spending his winters in Texas.
Elroy is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judith and their son: Todd (Debra) of Somerset. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren: Travis Kowalski (Kylee), Ryan Kowalski (Sara) and Evan Kowalski (Autumn) and 6 great grandchildren. He is further survived by brothers: Norman, Jerome (Linda), Laurence (Karen) and sisters: Cecelia Pooler and Mary Christman (Bob Whelan) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents: Bo and Gert Ludvik, brother: Joseph Bernard and sisters: Catherine Turner, Adele Whiting and Rita Collier.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date. Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron and the VA are assisting the family with cremation services.
