Forrest H. Luer

Forrest H. Luer, age 97, of Ridgeland, WI died Friday, December 1st, 2017 at Pioneer Health & Rehabilitation in Prairie Farm. He was born January 9th, 1920 to Harry & Mary (Knutson) Luer on the family farm in the Town of Wilson, rural Ridgeland, where he was raised and attended school. On April 3rd, 1948, he was married to Donna Hartung at Sand Creek & the couple operated their own farm in the Town of Wilson for several years until retiring in 1982. After retirement, Forrest enjoyed golfing and worked at the Pine Crest Golf Course in Dallas mowing grass for a time. He was an avid “Brewers” & “Packers” fan & also enjoyed watching his many grandkids play ball. He also enjoyed reading & working crossword puzzles.

Forrest was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Donna on January 30th, 2013, daughter: Cheryl Luer, grandson: Mike Luer & great granddaughter: Vanessa Mittelstadt. He is survived by his son: Allan (Corrinne) Luer of Prairie Farm, daughters: Rochelle (Nathan) Keilholtz of Ridgeland & Ann (Raymond) Harmon of Ridgeland, 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, as well as many other relatives & friends.

Funeral services will be (were) held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 9th at New Hope Lutheran Church-Pine Creek in the Town of Wilson, rural Ridgeland, with Rev. Janelle Harrison officiating & interment following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be (was) held for the hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
