Frederick "Fritz" Weiss

Frederick “Fritz” Weiss, age 91, of Rice Lake, WI died Wednesday, December 11th, 2019 at Country Terrace Assisted Living in Rice Lake. He was born January 17th, 1928 to Wilhelm & Albertina (Rittman) Weiss in northeastern Montana where he was raised and attended school. On October 2nd, 1959, he was married to Roberta Bartsch in Daniels County, MT. Fritz farmed his entire life starting in Montana before moving to Wisconsin in 1974. Animals were his passion and he loved working with them all, be it his livestock or his pets.

Fritz was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Roberta on May 17th, 2000, son: Kevin Weiss, 5 brothers & 1 sister. He is survived by his son: Donavon Weiss & daughter: Lesha Weiss, both of Rice Lake, 1 grandson, 1 granddaughter, 2 great granddaughters, sister-in-law: Eloma “Joy” Bartsch of Cameron, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

A Memorial Service will be (was) held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 14th at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. Tylan Dalrymple officiating. Visitation will be (was) held for the hour prior to the service. Interment will take place in the spring at Sumner Cemetery in the Town of Sumner. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas.
