George R. Kahl

George R. Kahl, age 80, of Prairie Farm, WI died Monday, July 3rd, 2023 at his home. He was born January 26th, 1943 to Arnold & Ethel (Duncan) Kahl in Barron, WI. He was raised and attended school in Prairie Farm, WI. Following high school, he enlisted and served in the US Army. In 1966 he met Sandra Warner at St. Paul, MN & on July 22nd, 1967 they were married at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town of Prairie Farm. The couple dairy farmed for 21 years & George later went to work for Bygd Precision in Ridgeland until his retirement. George enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing & especially loved spending time with his family.

George was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Sandra on September 26th, 2021, sister: Sharron Glaser, brothers-in-law: David Eggen & Jerry Glaser & nephew: Joel Glaser. He is survived by his son: Danny (Mary Ann) Kahl of Chetek, daughters: Tammy (Tom) Stuart of Prairie Farm & Susette (Shaun) Voldberg of Prairie Farm, grandchildren: Ariel, Alyssa & Anthony Voldberg, Dylan Stuart, Anthony (Jaimi) Czekalski & Reanna (Buck) Richie, great grandchildren: Brentley, Riftyn, Aiden, Hailey, Ryker, Blair & Harrison, brother: Larry (Joann) Kahl, sister: Sheila Eggen (David Lee), as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Funeral Service

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 8th at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town of Prairie Farm, rural Ridgeland with Rev. Roger Quandt officiating & interment following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. Saturday at the church. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
