Gerald Klier Obituary
Gerald J. Klier, age 71, of the Town of Sheridan, rural Wheeler, WI died Monday, June 1st, 2020 at Pioneer Health & Rehabilitation in Prairie Farm. He was born August 3rd, 1948 to John & Bessie (Dopkins) Klier at Hartford, WI where he was raised and attended school. In 1966, the family moved to the Town of Sheridan where Jerry and his father farmed. Jerry left farming in 1990. On May 20th, 2006, he was married to Elise (Hardesty) at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town of Prairie Farm. Jerry enjoyed life on the farm & caring for animals.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents & an infant sister. He is survived by his wife: Elise Klier, son: Jamie Olson of Almena, daughters: Debbie (Tracy) Whitmer of Prairie Farm & Mary Olson of Shell Lake, grandchildren: Anthony Van Erp of Cumberland, Alanis Van Erp of Winona, MN, Alexis Van Erp of New Auburn, Amanda Williams of Shell Lake, Taylor, Seth, Jordan & Shannon Whitmer, all of Prairie Farm, as well as many other relatives & friends.
Funeral services will be (were) held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 6th at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town of Prairie Farm with Rev. Roger Quandt officiating & interment following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be (was) held for the hour prior to services at the church. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
