Geraldine “Gerry” Ida Ekern, 83 of Cameron passed away Friday, February 9, 2018 at Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake. She was born December 5, 1934 in Fairchild, Wisconsin to Alma (Bra) and Robert Lange.
She graduated from Augusta High School in 1953 and married Kenneth Ekern July 6, 1957 in Augusta when they moved to Blaine, Minnesota. Kenneth enlisted in the Army in 1958, where they moved to Georgia. Upon being discharged, they moved to Minneapolis where they enjoyed fishing and camping. In 1997 after Ken retired, they moved to Cameron, Wisconsin.
Geraldine and FamilyGerry is survived by her husband, Ken, five sisters; Goldene Schiefbren, Esther Newton, Betty Lightzer, Bernice Kawell and twin sister Irene (Richard) Grimm. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother; William Lange, three sisters; Evelyn Brummond, Maxine Reetz, Margaret Giguere.
Funeral ServiceFuneral Services will be (were) held 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Faith Lutheran Church in Cameron with Reverend Tamara Harder officiating. Visitation from 4:00-7:00 P.M. Monday, February 12, at Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Cameron and one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Interment will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery following the funeral service.
