Gerene B. Moen

Gerene Beatrice (Knutson) Moen, age 83, of Prairie Farm, WI passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, March 17th, 2017. She was born August 10th, 1933 to Henry & Lorrinda (Strohben) Knutson at Amery, WI. On January 7th, 1950, she was married to Vernon Moen at Amery. She worked for several years at Fabri-Tex in Amery, ABC in Chetek & also at Scoops Delight in Prairie Farm. She enjoyed reading, embroidery, gardening, flowers, as well as feeding & watching the birds. She also loved spending time with family & friends.

Gerene was preceded in death by her parents, father & mother-in-law, daughter: Peggy Nelson, son: Mike Moen, brothers: Henry Jr. & David Knutson, sister: Margaret Gibson, sister-in-law: Adeline Johnson & brother-in-law: Woodrow Haugen. She is survived by her husband Vernon of 67 years, daughters: Pam (Buddy) White of Cumberland & Vicki Kallenbach of Prairie Farm, sons: Gary (Lindi) Moen of White Pines, MI, Brad (Lori) Moen of Turtle Lake, Craig (Gerry) Moen of Prairie Farm, Darrin (Terri) Moen of Hillsdale & Trevor (Connie) Moen of Turtle Lake, numerous grandchildren & great grandchildren, brother: Roger (Delores) Knutson of Amery, sister: Marsena Gardner of Seattle, WA, sisters-in-law: Bonnie Knutson of Hudson & Leatrice Mills of Fridley, MN, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Funeral Services will be (were) held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 23rd at First Lutheran Church of Arland with Rev. Tim Vettrus officiating & interment following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be (was) held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Dallas & also for the hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
