Jeremy K. Nelson

It was a hot summer day when Jeremy Keith Nelson decided to come into this world, on his Mom and Dad’s anniversary, August 19, 1970. Jeremy passed away Aug. 14, 2017, at Sacred Heart Hospital. He grew up in rural Chetek, attended Chetek Area Schools and St. Boniface Catholic Church. After high school, he went to WITC-Rice Lake for auto mechanics. He was a mechanic at Don’s Repair. He worked for many different trucking companies and lastly, Paradise Trucking hauling blacktop. He met the love of his life, Glenna Dole, and they married June 7, 1997, at Chetek. Jeremy loved his wife and his entire family, his Harley Davidsons, Rock & Roll, wings at Two Acres, his dog “Maggie,” and his numerous cats. He loved doing leathercraft in 4-H and hunting. He will be remembered for his ready smile, helping everyone, being a top notch “fix it” man, a friend to all he met, being a “Ford” man like his dad.

He is survived by his wife Glenna; stepdaughter Christina (Sean), Trever, Christopher, Jesse Hewitt; stepson Joe Gale (Jenn), step-grandchildren, Jaden and Justin Spafford; mother Joycie; brothers Michael (Theresa), nephews Jacob (Christy), Liam and Owen, niece Mika Jewel, great-nephew Manly, great niece Olivia; brother Darren; and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his dad Manly (Mike); grandparents “Nub” Irdale and Helen Nelson, Robert and Rose Hamilton; his uncle and aunt Terry and Sally.

Services will be held Friday, Aug. 18, 2017, at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Cameron. Visitation will be held at 1 p.m. prior to the 2 p.m. service.
