Gerald “Jerry” A. Severson, age 80, of Eleva & formerly of Cameron, WI died Wednesday, November 28th, 2018 at Grace Woodlands Memory Care in Eau Claire. He was born September 28th, 1938 to Herman & Olive (Rolla) Severson at Barron where he was raised and attended school. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1956-1959. On October 8th, 1960, he was married to Marilynn Carlson at Pine River, MN & she preceded him in death on May 17th, 2011. In March, 2013 he was married to Peggy Weise at Casa Grande, AZ & she preceded him in death on January 7th, 2014. Jerry loved music & singing as well as directing Barbershop & Church Choir. He also enjoyed bowling, golf & playing cards.
In addition to his wives, Jerry was preceded in death by his parents & brother: Gene Severson. He is survived by his children: Connie Severson (Marvin Albrecht) of Cameron, Lori (Mark) Kisling of Cameron, Debbie (Chris) Hansen of Cameron & Andy Severson of Cornell, grandchildren: April Kaiser, Jessica (Jeremy) Crotteau, Jacob Hansen (Tina Heddinger), Ashley & Holly Winiarczyk & Adreanna Severson, great grandchildren: Aubree, Easton, Liam & baby girl due in April, brothers: Bruce (Elizabeth) Severson of Madison & Robert Severson of Santa Fe, NM, sisters: Arlene Hills of Seattle, WA & Susan (Vincent) Matthews of Eleva, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Funeral services will be (were) held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 4th at Faith Lutheran Church in Cameron with Rev. Tamra Harder officiating & interment following in the First Lutheran Church Cemetery in the Town of Barron with Military Honors accorded by the Pieper-Marsh American Legion Post 194 of Cameron. Visitation will be (was) held from 4-7 p.m. Monday at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Cameron & also for the hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas.
