John Gregory Bever

John G. Bever, age 68, of Wheeler, WI passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, February 19th, 2025. He was born February 11th, 1957 to George and Beverly (Fladten) Bever in Menomonie and was raised and attended school in Prairie Farm. He was baptized and confirmed at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Almena and graduated from Prairie Farm High School in 1975. On November 23rd, 2001, he was married to Susan (Matthys) in Almena, WI. John worked many years in the cheese industry as a maintenance technician. In his spare time, he taught Hunter Safety and coached Little League, touching the lives of many young hunters and baseball players. He enjoyed his retirement years by golfing, hunting, being outdoors, and spending time with his siblings, children and grandchildren. His love of nature and the outdoors was second only to the love he had for his wife and family.

John was preceded in death by his parents, sister: Catherine, nieces: Christy and Jessie and nephew: Joseph. He is survived by his wife: Sue, sons: Taylor (Shannon), Anthony (Jessica) and Joseph (Alyssa), stepchildren: Joshua Hetherington and Sarah (Steve) Bridges, grandchildren: Blake, Nolan, Wyatt, Olivia, Henry, Sophia, Jonathan and Milo, step-grandchildren: Liam, Eli, Makya, Kylee, Marley, Ashlynn and Evalynn, brothers: Nicholas (Cindy), Timothy (Peggi), Daniel (Barb) and Michael (Cindie), sisters: Colette Danmeier, Colleen Swanson and Patricia (Todd) Mickelson, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A private service will be held on Saturday, March 29th at the Ridgeland Community Center, followed by a Celebration of Life open to the public from 1-4p.m.  Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas.
