John W. Liska

John W. Liska, age 69, of Chetek, WI died Sunday, June 18th, 2017 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. He was born August 15th, 1947 to Ashley & Betty (Kropp) Liska at Springfield, MO. He was raised and attended school at Madison, WI. He went on to serve 6 years in the U.S. Navy from 1966-1971. After his discharge form the Navy, he attended Blackhawk Technical College in Milwaukee where he earned his degree as an Electronics Technician and worked in that field for many years. He moved to the Chetek area around 2004 where he was employed as a Medical Transport Driver, which he enjoyed very much, until health problems forced him to retire. John enjoyed fishing, camping, photography & model trains. He will be dearly missed by his family.

John was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter: Jennifer Liska-Boyer (Tim Christianson) of DeForest, WI & 2 grandsons: Dylan & Parker Boyer of DeForest.

Funeral Services will be (were) held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 29th at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Cameron with Father Bala Raju Policetty officiating & interment following in Northern WI Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery at Spooner. Visitation will be (was) held from 11 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home on Thursday. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas.
