Laura M. Mittelstadt

Laura Mae (Kaiser) Mittelstadt, age 87, of Ridgeland, WI died Tuesday, June 26th, 2018 at Pioneer Health & Rehabilitation in Prairie Farm. She was born on August 12th, 1930 to Casper and Mathilda (Schleusner) Kaiser in the town of Sheridan, WI. She was the youngest of 3 brothers and 3 sisters & grew up helping on their family farm. She attended Bilse School up until the 8th grade. On January 24th, 1951, Laura married the love of her life, Donald Mittelstadt. Together they ran their farm south of Ridgeland & were blessed with 2 kids, Mark & Debrah. Laura was a loving wife, mother, grandmother & great-grandmother. She always had an open heart & a lending hand. She enjoyed to sew, garden, wood work, sing & play guitar, play cards & dice & always had coffee & dessert ready for whatever friends & family happen to stop by. She was a part of the Ridgeland United Methodist Church & the Ladies Aide there for many years.

Laura is survived by her two children: Mark (Sue) Mittelstadt of Ridgeland & Debrah (Pete) Etheridge of Ridgeland, sister: Hazel Obermueller of Bloomer WI, grandchildren: Leroy (Kari) Knutson, Heather Thompson (Justin), Chelse (Jesse) Cockeram & Brent Thompson, step-grandchildren: Angela Foster & Jeramy (Hannah) Foster, great-grandchildren: Jaegar, Jaeden & Silas Knutson, Hailee & Lynsey Mattson & Logan & Corbin Cockeram. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Donald Mittelstadt on April 19th, 2001, grandson: Jesse Mittelstadt, brothers: Walt, Ed & Art Kaiser & sisters: Alice Danovsky & Esther Martinson.

Funeral services will be (were) held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 29th at the Ridgeland Community Center with Rev. Mary Anne Conklin officiating & interment following at Popple Creek American Cemetery in the Town of Grant, Dunn County. Visitation will be (was) held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Dallas & also for the hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
