Laurence K. Amdall, age 100, of Dallas, WI died Tuesday, November 20th, 2018 at Monroe Manor in Barron. He was born May 20th, 1918 to Andrew & Mildred (Keyes) Amdall at Dallas where he was raised and attended school. He enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corps and served as an aircraft mechanic during WWII from 1942-1946. On October 25th, 1952, he was married to Beatrice Kienitz at Two Harbors, MN. The couple made their home in Dallas & Laurence farmed as well as being employed as a Supervisor for DHIA for several years. He has been a life-long member of Dallas Lutheran Church where he served in many different capacities over the years.
Laurence and FamilyLaurence was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Beatrice on November 28th, 2013, brother: Emmett Amdall & sister: Marvel Howard. He is survived by his brother: Ellis (Betty) Amdall of Barron, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Funeral ServiceFuneral services will be (were) held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 30th at Dallas Lutheran Church with Rev. Heather Kistner officiating & interment following at Lakeview Cemetery in Chetek. Visitation will be (was) held for the hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
