Lawrence E. Besser

Lawrence E. Besser, age 75, of Cameron, WI died Thursday, June 22nd, 2017 at his home. He was born May 8th, 1942 to August & Ida (Nelson) Besser at Rochester, MN. He was raised and attended school at Baudette, MN & went on to serve in the U.S. Army from 1959-1962. On June 8th, 1963, he was married to Linda Moorhead at Minneapolis. He was a steamfitter for most of his life and worked at various places until settling in Cameron where he went to work for Kirckof Plumbing & Heating. Larry loved going to the races, hunting, fishing & let’s not forget our “PACKERS”. He was a very giving, tender & loving man. He will be deeply missed in all of hearts forever.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife: Linda Besser, sons: Lawrence Jr. (Melissa) & Lee Besser, daughter: Lisa (Eric) Hansen, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, brothers: Jerry (Susie) & Chuck (Betty) Besser, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Funeral Services will be (were) held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 28th at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Cameron with Dennis Fowler officiating & interment following at Northern WI Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery at Spooner. Visitation will be (was) held for the hour prior to services at the funeral home on Wednesday. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas.
