Lawrence Repp Obituary

Lawrence “Larry” Repp, age 95 of rural Prairie Farm, WI died Friday, January 24th, 2020 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire. He was born November 5th, 1924 to Harry & Merle (Carrutt) Repp at Clear Lake, WI where he was raised and attended school. After graduating from Clear Lake High School, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He studied radio at Miami University in Ohio & then served 4 years as a radio operator aboard the USS Dutchess. On August 17th, 1946, he was married to Mae Ona Lee at West Akers Lutheran Church. Larry farmed for many years & also worked as a custodian for the Prairie Farm Elementary School. He was an active member of West Akers Lutheran Church & over the years served as Custodian, Church Treasurer & Church President. He enjoyed singing as well as playing his organ & harmonica. He was the type of person who liked to take care of everyone around him.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, brother: Norman Repp & father & mother-in-law: Olaf & Mathilda Lee. He is survived by his wife of 73 years, Mae Ona Repp, brother: Gene (Betty) Repp of Alabama, sisters: Alice Pugh of Indiana & Arlene (Calvin) Didier of Wyoming, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. Mae Ona would like to acknowledge the special people in Lawrence’s life who were always willing to lend a helping hand. Funeral Services

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 1st at West Akers Lutheran Church in the Town of New Haven, rural Prairie Farm with Rev. David Natzke officiating & interment with Military Honors to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Dallas & also for the hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
