Lillie Miller, age 91, of Prairie Farm, WI died Monday, April 2nd, 2018 at Pioneer Health & Rehabilitation in Prairie Farm. She was born June 10th, 1926 to John & Frieda (Iff) Mueller in the Town of Sheridan, Dunn County, WI. On October 30th, 1948, she was married to Werner Miller in the Town of Sheridan & they farmed there for several years. Over the years, Lillie waitressed at the Dairyland Café, Hitch n Post Café & Friday night fish fry’s at Dutchman’s Bar. She also worked at Glenn’s/Pond’s Drive-in for many years. Lillie was a member of St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town of Prairie Farm & was also an active member of the Ladie’s Aid there. She was in charge of the Ridgeland Fair food stand for many years, she decorated many wedding cakes for local couples & made many raised doughnuts for various events & meetings. She loved to cook & bake for her grandchildren & whoever stopped by for coffee & she also liked to get together with neighbors to play cards. In her spare time, she loved to quilt & do embroidery.
Lillie and FamilyLillie was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Werner on September 5th, 2003, daughter: Kay Miller on January 10th, 1989, brothers: Fred, Warner & John Mueller & sisters: Hedwig Keller, Helen Buchholz, Elsie Ten Eyck, Esther Flanagan & Ann Lentz. She is survived by her daughter: Betty Mizer of Barron, son: Jim (Donna) Miller of Ridgeland, grandchildren: Codey (Gina) Miller of Blaine, MN, Brady (Alyssa) Hurtgen of Scottsdale, AZ & Tyler (Michelle) Miller of Ridgeland, great grandchildren: Harrison & Everly Miller, William & Lauren Hurtgen & Charley Jane Miller, sister-in-law: Phyllis Miller of Duluth, MN, godsons: Ryan Lentz & Don Lentz, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Funeral services will be (were) held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 6th at St. Paul’s Ev. Lutheran Church in the Town of Prairie Farm with Rev. Roger Quandt officiating & interment following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be (was) held for the hour prior to services at the church on Friday. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron. The family would like to thank the staff of Pioneer Health & Rehabilitation & St. Croix Hospice for all of their wonderful care.
