Lorraine Mae (Tronrud) Lien

Lorraine M. Lien, age 92, of Ridgeland, WI died Wednesday, August 16th, 2023 at Meadowbrook of Chetek.  She was born March 14th, 1931 to Clarence & Lena (Peterson) Tronrud on the home farm in the Town of New Haven, Dunn County, WI.   Her mother died when Lorraine was a 2-3 year old toddler and her father later married Gladys Smith.  She attended Forest Grove School until grade 8 and graduated from Boyceville High School.  She was Baptized & Confirmed at West Akers Lutheran Church in the Town of New Haven.  On August 11th, 1956, she was married to Orville James Lien at Peace Lutheran Church in Menomonie.  She enjoyed helping with childcare for her family members and other friends in Prairie Farm. 

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents: Clarence & Lena & step-mother: Gladys, siblings: Bernice (Carl) Wallen, Clifford (Bernice) Tronrud, Lester (Ethel) Tronrud, Doris (Junior) Hedlund, Margaret (Forrest) Spitzer, Leonard (Helen) Tronrud & Victor (Sylvia) Tronrud, infant siblings: Willard & Gladys & sister-in-law: Adeline Tronrud.  She is survived by her children: Denise (Steve) Quarders, Jeff (Lori), Kevin (Shelley) & Darwin (Laurie) Lien, grandchildren: Nicole, Amy, Cory, Courtney, Krista, Sierra, Jordyn & Jacob, 7 great grandchildren, siblings: Marie Rositzki, Willard & Robert Tronrud, sisters-in-law: Annabelle Yamriska & Clarice Lien, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 21st at United Lutheran Church in Prairie Farm with Rev. Sara Feld officiating & interment following at Vanceburg Cemetery in the Town of Sheridan, rural Prairie Farm.  Visitation will be held for the hour prior to services at the church on Monday.  Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
