Marlys M. LaBlanc, age 75, of Prairie Farm, WI died Tuesday, March 5th, 2019 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Eau Claire. She was born June 19th, 1943 to Raymond & Erma (Wirth) O’Flanagan at Prairie Farm. She attended Young School & graduated from Prairie Farm High School in 1961. She later attended Rice Lake Technical College before starting her career at Barron Supply in April of 1962. On June 9th, 1973, she was married to Ronald LaBlanc at Prairie Farm. They lived briefly near Twin Town before building a house on her family farm, where they lived until the time of her death. Marlys loved working at Barron Supply with her friends & co-workers. She dedicated 56 years of her life to the small division of Jerome Foods, & later, Hormel Foods. She only retired this past fall due to medical issues. In addition to her work, Marlys was an avid reader, enjoyed sewing & was an active member of United Lutheran Church in Prairie Farm.

Marlys was preceded in death by her parents, as well as beloved aunts & uncles. She is survived by her husband: Ronald of Prairie Farm, daughters: Colleen LaBlanc of Pewaukee, WI & Kelly LaBlanc of Waukesha, WI, as well as many cousins, other relatives & friends.
Funeral Services
Funeral services will be (were) held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 16th at United Lutheran Church in Prairie Farm with Rev. Erin Koster officiating. Visitation will be (was) held for the hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Interment will take place in the spring at the Evergreen Cemetery in Prairie Farm. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
