Mary I. Rude

Mary Irene (Brooten) Rude, age 75, of Cameron, WI passed away Sunday, May 6th, 2018 at Lakeview Medical Center in Rice Lake. She was born June 2nd, 1942 to Bernard & Marie (St. Louis) Brooten at Cameron where she was raised and attended school. She graduated from Cameron High School in 1960. On October 20th, 1961, she was married to James Rude at Center City, MN. Mary worked at National T, the Bank of Cameron & was a hard working farm wife where they lived and operated their dairy farm in Cameron. She also created several beautifully decorated special occasion cakes for her Mary’s Country Cake Shoppe business. Her top priority was being a devoted wife & mother. She enjoyed spending time with family & friends, cooking baking, sewing, reading, gardening, bird watching & playing cards.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband: Jim of Cameron, son: Ronald Rude of Chicago, IL, daughter: Teresa (Daniel) Drost of Rice Lake, sisters: Catherine Voigt, of Lake Mills, WI, Louise (Allan) Hamilton of Eldridge, IA, Lori (Robert) Bossany of Menomonie & Dorothy (Ben) Ryba of Cameron, brother: Bernard (LuAnn) Brooten of Cameron, as well as many nieces, nephews, godchildren, other relatives & friends.

Funeral Services

A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas.
