Melvin L. Cobb, age 83, of Rice Lake, WI died Wednesday, September 5th, 2018 at Heritage Lakeside in Rice Lake. He was born March 2nd, 1935 to Loren & Hazel (Flygstad) Cobb at Barron, where he was raised and attended school. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his discharge from the Army, he was married to Bonnie Olson and they later divorced. Melvin worked as a milk hauler for several years & also operated a food distributing business through Snowflake Foods for several years. He enjoyed deer hunting & spending time at his cabin in Bayfield County.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, daughter: Robyn Cobb, son-in-law: Steve Einum, brother: Wayne Cobb & special friend: Eileen, Ailport. He is survived by his daughters: Rhonda Einum of Barron & Renee (Raoul) Gonzales of Cameron, 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, brother: Floyd (Darlene) Cobb of Barronett, sister: Delores (Mike) Benzie of MN, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Interment will be in Wayside Cemetery at Barron, but as were his wishes, no services are being planned. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas.
