Patricia Ann (Marcon) Johnson

Patricia A. Johnson, age 80, of Birchwood, WI died Saturday, January 4th, 2025 at her home.  She was born on September 15th, 1944 to Frederick & Anna (Marcon) Thibedeau at Rice Lake & was raised and attended school at Birchwood where she graduated from Birchwood High School.  On April 11th, 1964, she was married to Jerry J. Johnson at Birchwood & the couple eventually made Cameron their home.  Jerry served as Barron County Sherriff and Pat took her role as a Sherriff’s wife very seriously.  The couple was also very active in Cameron community events.  They were instrumental in putting together the Cameron Centennial festivities, which later came to be known as the annual Camerama Days celebration.  They also enjoyed playing Santa & Mrs. Claus each Christmas.  Pat’s seasoning salt was a staple that was used each year as the seasoning for the Camerama Days Chicken and also the Cameron Fire Department’s annual gun raffle fundraiser, & is still used to this day.  Pat was employed with Wright Products in Rice Lake for over 20 years & later worked for Menards from the time they opened in Rice Lake until her retirement.  She loved the outdoors; camping, hunting, fishing & also loved to play cribbage.  In 2021, Pat built a new home and moved back to Birchwood.

Pat was preceded in death by her parents, husband: Jerry on November 4th, 2000, daughter: Sheri Johnson & grandson: Brian Johnson.  She is survived by her son: Mark Johnson, daughter: Debra Benge, grandchildren: Tyler (Bridgit) Novinski, Jesse Strenke & Jhett Johnson, great grandchildren: David Johnson & Melani Novinski, her dear friend: Linda Olson, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 18th at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Birchwood with Father Adam Laski officiating.  Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, January 17th at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Cameron & also for the hour prior to the Mass on Saturday at the church.  Immediately following the Mass a Celebration of Life will be held at Mary's Bluegill Bar & Grill in Birchwood. Interment will take place at a later date in Northern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery at Spooner.  Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas.
