Phyllis Gillett Obituary

Phyllis May Gillett, age 93, of Cameron, WI passed away after a brief illness on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. Phyllis was born May 11, 1930, in Elmwood, WI, to Philip and Rose M. (Weiss) Fedie and was the youngest of four children. When she was four years old, her family moved to New Auburn, WI and she graduated from New Auburn High School in 1947. On April 18th, 1950, she married Lawrence R. Gillett. Together they raised their family and built a life as dairy farmers. On the family farm, everyone worked hard, played hard and learned to respect. This work ethic has been passed down through the generations. She was an active member in both the Chetek VFW Auxiliary and the Cameron American Legion Auxiliary. She loved to bake cookies for all her family members. She also enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting, and most of all her family. Anyone that needed a place to stay or a hot meal was always welcomed.
