Rhinehardt L. Knutson

Rhinehardt L. Knutson, age 88, of Wheeler, WI died peacefully Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Dallas Care & Rehabilitation. He was born in Dunn County on January 30, 1929. He was the 12th child born to Ole and May Knutson. Rhinehardt married Arlys Harmon on November 27, 1948 at Eau Claire & they had six children. Rhinehardt started working on the farm at a young age. He then went on to hauling milk & to driving semi- truck coast to coast. In 1970, he purchased a farm in Dunn County where he pursed his dream of farming until he retired at the age of 65. He enjoyed a life of working and taking summer trips to Balsam Lake for fishing with his family. During his retirement, Rhinehardt spent time with the love of his life, his wife Arlys.

He is survived by his children: Kathleen Andersen, Wanda Knutson, Cynthia Peer (Gregory) & Dawn Bradley, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends. Rhinehardt was preceded in death by his parents, his wife: Arlys on June 28, 2010, sons: James and Ralph Knutson and a granddaughter: Hope.

Funeral services will be (were) held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at Hay River Lutheran Church, rural Wheeler, WI with Rev. Loren Barker officiating & interment following in the church cemetery. Visitation will be (was) held from 1-3 p.m. Saturday at the church. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas, & Cameron.
