Richard Paine Obituary

Richard DeWitt Paine, age 73, of Cameron, WI died Friday, December 14th, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire after a short battle with cancer. He was born November 22nd, 1945 to Asa & Zena (Snow) Paine in the Town of Woodmohr, Chippewa County, WI. He graduated from Cameron High School in 1964 & then entered the U.S. Marine Corps, serving until 1976, attaining the rank of Gunnery Sgt. He was a very proud Marine and to have served his country. On July 1st, 1967 he was married to Julie Amundson at Cameron & they celebrated 51 years together this year. Richard farmed for over 10 years & later started his own business, Agri Testing Service, which he ran until a car accident in 1991 ended his employment. He took great joy in his family & his many siblings. He had a fine sense of humor & will be greatly missed by all.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Robert, Donald & James Paine & sisters: Peggy Wirth & Sherry Lindsey. He is survived by his wife: Julie of Cameron, daughter: Michele (Darrell) Feltham of Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Canada, grandchildren: Kathryn Asp of Milwaukee & Zachary Feltham of Maple Ridge, BC, brothers: Charles (Rhonda) Paine of Chippewa Falls, Malcolm (Kay) Paine of Cameron & Merle Paine of Bloomer, sisters: Patricia (Paul) Tomkowiak of Eau Claire, Rexetta (John) Halverson of Menomonie, Dorothy Cook of Almena, Susan (David) Bender of Rice Lake & Rita (Harvey) Lange of Toney, AL, half-brother: Joseph Paine of Oconomowoc, WI, half-sister: Karen (Ed) Johnson of Marshall, WI, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Funeral Services

A visitation for family & friends will be held from 12-1:30 p.m. on Friday, December 21st at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Cameron with interment following in the Northern WI Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery at Spooner. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas.
