Rita Patsy (Erwin) Carlson

Rita P. Carlson, age 87, of Cameron, WI died Tuesday, July 15th, 2025 at her home.  She was born July 23rd, 1937 to Stephan & Eva (Beverly) Erwin at Wise, VA where she was raised and attended school.  After graduating from high school she attended 2 years of college before moving to Washington D.C. where she got a job working for the government.  On April 5th, 1963, she was married to Richard Carlson at Alexandria, VA.  Later in 1963, the couple moved to Richfield, MN where they settled to raise their family.  Once the children were older, Rita worked as a secretary for a couple of different businesses.  After retiring in 2001, Richard & Rita moved to Cameron where they spent their summers, wintering down south.  In 2017, they sold their place in Florida and remained in Cameron full time. 

Rita was preceded in death by her parents.  She is survived by her husband: Richard & 3 sons: Jim, Steve & Mike Carlson. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 18th at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Cameron with Rev. Darrel Robinson officiating & interment following at Acacia Park Cemetery in Mendota Heights, MN.  Visitation will be held for the hour prior to services at the funeral home on Friday.  Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas.
