Ronald D. Peters, age 81, formerly of the Prairie Farm and Hillsdale, WI area, peacefully passed away at the Dove Healthcare facility in Rice Lake, WI on Thursday, January 24, 2019. He was born April 27, 1937 to Thomas and Edna (Dolischall) Peters at Bagley, MN. He graduated from Bagley High School in 1955. After graduation he found work in northern Minnesota and North Dakota hauling pulpwood. He moved to the Minneapolis/St. Paul area where he met the love of his life, Linda Young. They were married September 22, 1962 at Barron, WI and lived in Coon Rapids, MN where they started their family of five children. They lived in Forest Lake, Chisago City and Almelund, MN before moving to Prairie Farm, WI in 1978 and operating a dairy farm north of town. In 1996, Ron and Linda moved to Hillsdale, then to Barron, WI in 2015 and most recently to the Dove Healthcare facility in Rice Lake, WI. Ron enjoyed farming, especially with his team of horses, Kate and Dolly. You would often find him attending auctions in the local area and hauling things for his friends. His faith in God was strong and he desired to live God’s plan for his life.
