Sandra Kay (Hintzman) Metheny

Sandra K. Metheny, age 63, of Barron, WI passed away Friday, February 6th, 2026 at Marshfield Medical Center in Rice Lake.  She was born March 21st, 1962 to Melvin Sr. & Beverly (Davis) Hintzman at Rice Lake, WI.  She grew up in Sand Creek & graduated from Chetek High School in 1982.  On February 18th, 1983, she was married to the love of her life, Lee Metheny, at Barron.  She earned her degree in nursing and later in the early 2000’s, she went on to earn a degree in teaching for early childhood development.  She took care of many foster kids throughout the years.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, brother: Melvin Hintzman, Jr., her father & mother-in-law: Gerald Sr. & Ruby Metheny, sister-in-law: Joann Anderson & brother-in-law: Gerald Metheny, Jr.  She is survived by her husband: Lee, children: Matthew, Andrew, Crystal, Nicholas & Samuel, grandchildren: Dakota & Jordan, sisters: Betty Wood & Loreen Burke, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 16th at Barron Foursquare Church with Pastors David Smith, Aaron & Sarah Brant officiating.  Visitation will be held from 1-4 p.m. Sunday & also for the hour prior to services on Monday, both at the church.  Interment will be at a later date in the Evergreen Cemetery in the Town of Sioux Creek, WI.  Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas.
