Shirley Ann (Rapley) Hibbard

Shirley Ann Hibbard, beloved Mom, Grandma and Great Grandma, died Saturday, December 14th, 2024 at Vista Prairie, Brentwood Memory Care Facility in Rice Lake, WI at the age of 90.  She was born in Bracken, Saskatchewan on January 17th, 1934 to George Ernest Rapley and Gunda Serley.  She graduated from Swedish Hospital School of Nursing at Minneapolis, MN in 1955. On August 6th, 1955, she was married to Gerald Hibbard at Minneapolis, MN.  Throughout the years, Shirley worked in private hospitals, county hospitals, nursing homes and as a public health nurse. 

She was preceded in death by her husband: The Reverend Gerald C. Hibbard, her parents, 8 siblings and grandson: Daniel Lee Scott.  She is survived by her son: Stephen (Suzanne) Hibbard, daughter: Christa (John) Scott, granddaughters: Sarah (Brendan) Morin, Angela (Derek) Scott-Giesel and Jennifer (Justin) Findley, grandsons: Matthew (Anna) Hibbard, David (Megan) Scott and Joshua Hibbard, 9 great grandchildren, as well as many other relatives and friends.  We wish to extend a heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate caregivers of Brentwood Memory Care and the staff of Marshfield Medical Center Home Health and Hospice of Rice Lake during her time there. 

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, December 28th at Stanfold Lutheran Church, rural Rice Lake, with Rev. John Bergson officiating.  A luncheon will immediately follow the service.  Interment will then take place at the Faaberg Cemetery in Cameron.  Visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.     Please consider a memorial to the Pregnancy Help Center, or Stanfold Lutheran Church in her name.  Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas.
