Shirley L. Miller, age 82, of Ridgeland, WI died Monday, December 16, 2019 at Pioneer Health & Rehabilitation in Prairie Farm. She was born March 29, 1937 to Clarence & Laura (Wirth) Christopherson in Dunn County, WI. She was baptized & confirmed at New Hope Lutheran Church-Pine Creek. She graduated from Prairie Farm High School in 1955. In November of 1955, she was married to Owen Mau & together they had 5 children. On November 23, 1979, she was married to Gerald Miller at United Lutheran Church in Prairie Farm & the couple recently celebrated their 40th Wedding Anniversary. Over the years, Shirley worked at First State Bank in Prairie Farm, Jorstad’s Store in Ridgeland, the nursing homes in both Prairie Farm & Dallas, taught ceramic classes & also spent many hours farming & babysitting her grandchildren & great grandchildren. Shirley loved traveling with Jerry every year to Branson & especially enjoyed the music of Daniel O’Donnell. She also enjoyed playing cards on Mondays with her card club, trips to the casino & watching her Milwaukee Brewers. Throughout the years she attended many sporting events & concerts for her kids, grandkids & great grandkids.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, son: Steven Mau, grandson: Jamey Aune, brother: Larry Christopherson and her mother & father-in-law. She is survived by her husband: Jerry Miller, sons: Daniel (Mary) & David Mau, daughters: Julie (Robert) Salsbury & Sherrie (Roger) Siebert, daughter-in-law: Cindy Mau, grandchildren: Chris (Val) Aune, Matt & Dusty (Sara) Salsbury, Tyler & Tony (Tina) Siebert, Tiffany (Mike) Baldwin, Donovan, Laura, Louie, Josh (Veronica), Mike (Stacy), Andrew (Allison) & Collin Mau, great grandchildren: Kayla Tallman, Addison & Bergen Aune, Carter, Preston, Avery, Blake, Brynn & Hallee Salsbury, Lydia & Bode Siebert, Mikayla Baldwin, Ava, Olive, Silas, Eden, Luka, Ryan & Leah Mau, sister-in-law: Kathy Christopherson, brothers-in-law: Richard, Jeff & Kevin (Tammy) Miller, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends.
Funeral Services
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 20 at United Lutheran Church in Prairie Farm with Rev. Erin Koster officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday & 10-11 a.m. Friday, both at the church. Interment will take place in the spring at Vanceburg Cemetery in the Town of Sheridan, rural Prairie Farm. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Dallas & Cameron.
