Theodore G. “Ted” Lieberherr, age 85, of Rice Lake, formerly of Barron & Cameron, WI died Sunday, April 7th, 2019 at Dove Healthcare in Rice Lake. He was born June 9th, 1933 to George & Lillie (Kurschner) Lieberherr at Rice Lake. The family lived for a time in the Downsville area before returning to the Canton area where they farmed. Ted graduated from Cameron High School in 1951 & on June 28th, 1953, he was married to Mary Ellen Scott at Rice Lake. They farmed east of Cameron & raised their family. After retiring in 1995, they enjoyed traveling & spending winters in Florida until Mary’s death on October 2nd, 2011. On August 25th, 2012 Ted was married to Carol Brown at Barron where they resided until a short time ago when they moved to Dove Healthcare.
In addition to his first wife: Mary Ellen, Ted was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: John & Ralph Lieberherr, daughter-in-law: Noreen Lieberherr, sister-in-law: Mary Lou Lieberherr & brothers-in-law: Morris Wirth, Merle & Walter Scott. He is survived by his wife: Carol, son: Mark Lieberherr of Cameron, daughter: Karlene (Tom) Sorensen of Oak Creek, WI, grandchildren: Jennifer (Nick) Kathrine, Thomas (Jenny) Lieberherr, Steven Lieberherr (Sean Burke), Alicia (Joel) Bednar & Elizabeth Waskow, great grandchildren: Lincoln Bednar, Nick Kathrine, Delilah Bednar, Harvey & Zoe Lieberherr, sisters-in-law: Glenda & Elaine Scott, Virginia Wirth & Ruth Hargrave, brother-in-law: Gary Hargrave, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Funeral services will be (were) held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 11th at Faith Lutheran Church in Cameron with Rev. Tamra Harder officiating & interment following in the Sumner Cemetery in the Town of Sumner. Visitation will be (was) held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home in Cameron & also for the hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas.
