Terry Lee Smith

Terry L. Smith, age 78, of Cameron, WI passed away Friday, November 21st, 2025 at his home.  He was born on September 13th, 1947 to George & Esther (Bryngelson) Smith at Rice Lake, WI.  He worked for many years trimming trees & also worked as a custodian for the Rice Lake School District.  He made many friends through his work.  Terry was a great outdoorsman.  He loved to fish, hunt & ride his ATV in the Blue Hills.  When he wasn’t hunting or fishing, he spent hours sorting & organizing his fishing equipment.  He was also an avid reader, often finishing several books a week.  Most of all, Terry loved his family & loved to make them laugh, whether it was cracking a joke, or sneaking up & scaring them. 

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws: Ozzie & Ruth Johnson, siblings: Joyce, Bev, Larry, Lana & Steve, infant brother: Jerry, sister-in-law: Joyce Smith & brothers-in-law: Melvin Becker, Ernie Frazier, John Ewald, Russ Kuhrt & Don Burling.  He is survived by his wife of 54 years: Charlene, daughter: Kerry (Chad) Glaubitz, granddaughters: Emma (Jordan Haley) & Maci, “chosen granddaughter”: Camryn Poppenhagen, brothers: Sam, Lonnie & Dale (Joyce), sister: Wendy (Bruce) Rundhaug, sisters-in-law: Kitty (Bill) Hargrave, Nancy Frazier (Mick Rhode) & Jodi (Nate) Dodge, brother-in-law: Paul (Doris) Johnson, lifelong best friend: Ric Russeau, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives & friends.

Terry’s family would like to extend their gratitude on behalf of Terry to Mayo Clinic Cancer Center & St. Croix Hospice.  Also a heartfelt thank you to Terry’s family & friends for the support & kindness throughout his illness.  In accordance with Terry’s wishes, no funeral services are being planned.  Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Homes, Cameron & Dallas.
