Veda H. Sunderland

Veda H. Sunderland, age 91, of Hayward, WI died Saturday, July 9th, 2022 at Hayward Area Memorial Hospital. She was born February 2nd, 1931 to Lee & Vivian (Hansen) Dennis at Prairie Farm where she was raised and attended school. On November 9th, 1950, she was married to Richard Sunderland at Pine City, MN. She worked at the Co-op Bakery in Hayward for about 20 years, decorating cakes. Along with cake decorating, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, gardening & going to baseball games.

Veda was preceded in death by her parents, children: Regina & Brent, brothers: Donald, David & Arnie Dennis & sister: Leona Peavey, She is survived by her husband: Richard, sons: Kevin (Julie) Sunderland of Birchwood, Brian (Jill) Sunderland of Spooner, Todd Sunderland of Onalaska & Kelly (Sonya) Sunderland of Hayward, grandchildren: Patrick, Brody, Justin, Wyatt, Veda & Shay, great grandchildren: Eli, Leo, Farrah, Brynn, Macey & Jaxson, sister-in-law: Darlene Dennis, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.

Funeral Services

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 25th at the Blue Hills Masonic Center in Rice Lake with Jason Stein & Eric Nueske officiating & interment following at the Pine Grove Cemetery in Cameron. Visitation will be held for the hour prior to services at the Masonic Center on Monday. Arrangements are with Rausch-Lundeen Funeral Home, Cameron & Dallas.
